The proposal to vacate the highways connecting Kumbh city was amended on Monday. Earlier, there was a proposal to free the highways for 69 days from January 1 to March 10, but it has been modified since it has not been implemented yet. Mandalist Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal directed the PWD to send the proposal to free the highways from January 14 to March 5 for fresh re-release. He reviewed the construction of highways and other important routes and instructed them to complete the work soon.
In a review meeting held at the Triveni meeting room at the camp office, the Mandal instructed to complete the works of road construction linking the national road and other important routes for the Kumbh Mela to be completed within the prescribed time limit. He said that special attention should be taken to protect the safety of any bridge over the construction of bridges and flyovers so that there is no untoward incident. He said that the officers made a solid strategy to facilitate the traffic system and control the crowd. PWDD's Executive Engineer instructed that now the letter should be sent to the government for the toll free of highways from January 14 to March 5. They instructed Naini to repair the bad street lights on the bridge, remove the debris and repair the cranes barrier.
Executive engineers informed about the completion of Rae Bareli-Prayagar Raj Road, Munshiganj Bypass, Prayagraj-Mirzapur Road to Tikri. It was told that 26 km Pratapgarh has completed the construction of the Sarapur road, but the construction of Aaii-Mijarpur corridor will be completed by 11th January. Similarly, construction of road connecting Batwatpur from Kachhwa market will be completed by January 12. On this occasion, NHAI's project director AK Roy, executive engineer PWL, NH division Prabhat Choudhary, XEN Arun Kumar Singh, executive engineer provincial section Bhadohi Yogesh Kumar were present.
